Welcome to TRS :)

You can do any engine swap but that one wouldn't be very easy

The 2.3l DOHC Duratec engine needs its own computer and engine wiring, and that computer also runs the automatic transmission, which would be a 5R44E, the 1995 would have a 4R55E, so no on using 1995 automatic trans
And 2.3l duratec never came in 4x4, they were 2WD only, so no 4x4 trans would be available for that swap

You could use a 5R44E from a 3.0l 4x4 Ranger, and swap bell housing with one for a 2.3l duratec, need to be careful to get it all lined back up again, or it will leak ALOT and could burnup front pump

You can buy a used 4.0l OHV engine for about $600, 1990-2000 model would work, just swap over your current intake, oil pan and valve covers.
