Looking for some people's opinion on homemade rock sliders compare to the store bought ones.

http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134420 here is a link to the build thread for my sliders. I think they cost me about half what trail gear charges for their DOM sliders. They work great, I've used a high lift to jack up the whole side if my truck several times and they're rock solid.

Before you made your sliders which look very good and have a solid construction. Did you look at tubular design? And if you have what is your idea on the strengths and weakness' of both square and tubular design?

I did look at DOM tubing. I understand that it is stronger. It is also quite a bit more expensive. I was on a budget, so I went with the square tube. If I were to do it all over again with unlimited funds, I'd still go with my design. I haven't been able to hurt them, they've been perfectly functional, and I really like the way they look.

I do like your design, I do know it's quite a bit more expensive and for me I would have to take the tubing somewhere to get it bent. So I think I'll stick with square tubing. Thanks for the help.
