guys what can i put on my 2.9 87 bronco II to help the hp and i want to do a 4.0 or 5.0 swap not sure yet

Lower gears, manual transmission, 4.0, 5.0, actually doing any work to the engine is a waste of time and money.

drop a 4.0 manual tranny a mild cam, throttle body spacer, intake exhaust and a small chip set you will be good to go. more or less same set up i'm running i'm pushing 330 hp
