IMO.Is this a more recommended setup than the Mustang Mounts?
I cut slots in my crossmember for the Mustang mounts and they kept sliding down the slight as the engine would torque over. Messed up the seal between the headers and exhaust pipes and the oil pan would rub/rattle on the crossmember. My fix (if you want to call it that) was to jack the engine up, and puts parts I cut out of washers to fill in the slot so the engine couldn't drift down. And I have a ton of washers and shim to get the engine high enough to get the drain plug out.
I have never been around the plate style but they seem simpler to live with and I am not happy with the Mustang mounts.
