ok i got a 2000 ranger recently and found this switch under the dash


top right corner

i traced the wire though my firewall to a compressor looking thing with 2 yellow hoses leading to these


are those the stock horns?

i have flipped the switch both ways and nothing happens

don't think those are stock,they look more like 18 wheeler horns.you can have some fun with them when you get them working.he-he

yah they seem pretty brutal they are all metal
they look like air horns and if they are you can scare the hell out of some folks,bet they are plenty loud.

yah they are deff air horns they have airtubes running to that compressor now im guessing the switch turns on the compressor but i dont hear anything when i flip the switch and ive honked the horn with it switched both ways

Find the wires for the compressor and try "jumping" it from the battery to see if the compressor works.
