Cool long time fan first time caller

im matt, i have been using this site for a while now to help work on my truck. im not a professional mechanic but i do prefer to work on my own truck. i inherited my truck from my grandfather who bought it brand new. i got the truck with 40,000 original miles. its not in the best shape nor do i have the money but damn if that's gonna stop me! im currently taking the interior out to replace the evaporator coil and also to re run the wiring for my cheap but awesome sounding stereo! its an old kenwood with some new pioneer speakers. also i am going to paint the interior and do the 60/40 seat mod wish me luck on that will post pictures as soon as i remember to take them. thanks for all who have come before me so that i may learn from their mistakes.

anyone got any ideas for a transmission updrade... i dont like how slow mine runs, it feels like its draggin 1000lbs i like the way the mazda b series run, almost fluid like acceleration. i dont want to put in a manual trans but i dont want an automatic that runs like molasses. i would prefer something that i can just drop in there and haul ass. btw i have the A4LD
