Hey guys, my truck isnt throwing any codes at all, but when hooked to a computer it says evap system incomplete? I have no cats, so when i scan it, it says something about the o2 being incomplete. I am getting a set of mil eliminators. is there any way this will fix the evap system incomplete also? The only other thing i could think of was there were 2 vacuum lines off the egr valve that i put back on less than 100 miles ago, but im pretty sure this wouldnt cause any problem to the evap system? what should i check on this?
thanks.

details please. what year and model is this? what engine? is it the original motor? what are the actual codes (the numbers)?

not having cats will not effect evaporative emissions.

the truck is a 99, the motor is a 96 explorer motor. ex ecu is in it. the truck isnt throwing any actual codes, it just says something about the evap system incomplete, or not ready?

the computer doesnt "say" anything without a code. either your not reading it right or your scanner isnt showing it.

Evap system monitor incomplete? Meaning that the drive cycle to enable and complete the Evap system self test is not ready?

You have to drive the vehicle and go though certain drive cycles before that will clear. This is why you don't clear the ECU of codes by pulling battery cables for a smog test.

I love when ancient posts that I'm subscribed to get dug up. I get to appear, as if from nowhere, then disappear back into the mysts from whence I came.

It's funny people complain about not using the search tool then are surprised when old posts come up like wtf is this doing here. Idk just find it funny. But ok! I'll dive on. my favorite fixes are the ones that fix itself.
