Well started a new project after busting up my motor for another project. Found this 1991 Ranger for $700. It has 67,000 original miles, dana 35/4.10, 8.8/4.10, bw1354e, m5od, 4.0, in need of some bodywork, and one of the dumbest shifters ever. Every time I shift into 1st I punch the steering wheel. Motor was regasketed 10,000 miles ago. The story behind the truck is the guy let it sit in his driveway until his son could drive it. The son’s idea was to make a ranger rat rod of it and slam it with airbags. Note the tiny baby tires that are on it. It’s amazing that everything is still really clean and new looking except the body. Future projects for this rig are dana 30 swap (since I already have it from the other project), bumpers, sliders, 4.88 gears/lockers, explorer springs, belltech shackles, bodywork/paint (which I have started on already).
The Dana 30 that is already built up:
The upper arms:
GM ¾ ton steering
