Thanks brotha! I had prob a dozen ranger through out high school and college can't wait to start this build. I found a ranger on craigslist for 500 bucks I might try and pick up!

As of right now the only thing I have is a Dana 44 and 8.8 both disc sitting in my shed. Still researching which 4bt would be the best for the ranger. Plan is to get a roller, sas and put the 8.8 while I’m collecting parts for the 4bt swap. I found a guy on eBay he says he has a whole warehouse full of 4bts with tons of diff options for trans and wiring harnesses .

Originally my plan was to do the swap in a early bronco. After owning a few and seeing how much they cost to restore I decided not to go that route. People These days think they are gold! They want a arm and a leg for a bronco nothing more then a parts vehicle and could never be restored. . Sooo here I am back on the ranger station starting my journey of a 4bt swap!

have you driven a 4bt powered vehicle?

they have some serious potential, but they are much too ratty for my taste
for a daily driver. it is the reason i decided to use the 6.5 diesel....which is
still a rattletrap...just much less severe.

that and i really prefer the sound of a v8. stock for stock the 6.2/6.5 easily
out performs them and are quite a bit smoother....

if you can call an idi smooth:icon_surprised: :icon_rofl:

if you get a cut out from chad it will make the swap a easy deal for sure...
