well i have access to all the parts i need off of a 90-94 explorer 4 dr. im already gonna try to get the d35 and all off the front, although i already have one, but i can always sell it lol. anyways i want to get a better rear driveshaft for my b2. i have put in a single ujoint shaft, but im wanting to lift it another 2"(for 4" total). i havent had a chance to look at the x yet, but im wondering which d-shaft do i want out of it to make a new rear shaft? ive read where people use the rear, and some people use the front with the 1354 yoke. also will i need to have it shortned? my shaft vibes a good bit, although the balancing wieght come off on a wheeling trip, and i dont want to spend money on a shaft im not gonna use. i dont want to buy a 300 doller shaft from a driveline store either. also my rear shaft i have now seems to be a little too short.can someone point me into the right direction so i can tell him to take the parts off before he scraps it

i had the ex's rear shaft shortened for mine, the only thing is you need a flange from a b2 for the 7.5. the 8.8 has a bigger flange.

with all the driveshaft stuff conversated over, i think we need a sticky about what works and what don't.

yea a sticky will be nice...

so can i use my single u joint flanges on the expo shaft? i swapped out the gkn type for a shaft that come with my b2. just a regular dshaft like a ranger.the x has been rolled and the axle is shifted, but looked like the centering pins were bent, would love to have the 8.8, whats a good way to check it for trueness? he said i could have whatever i wanted if i put scrap weight back in it. figured give him my 7.5 get the 8.8 good deal right
