Just did a lower intake gasket repair. On the truck and now it's running like crap. I have no power until 4000 Rpms. I did pull codes but I don't understand what they mean I pulled 56, 45, 55, and 51 can anyone help me out.

My credo
Failing is easy. Everyone can do it.
56 mass air flow circuit above maximum voltage

45 coil 1 primary circuit failure

55 key power input to processor open circuit

51 engine coolant temperature sensor circuit open

All these started after you did the repairs?

I'd double check wiring and grounds if all was okay prior to the repairs....

The opens are a bit odd...as either something isn't plugged in, or not plugged in all the way....broken wires....bad grounds...

Then again my source of EEC-4 codes might be totally wrong.

Make sure everything you unplugged is totally plugged in.

Yeah everything happened after I did the repair. I got those codes and the truck has no power until 4k rpms. I'm new to fords fuel injection. I'm used to Chevy or carved fords. and it's got me dumbfounded but I'll recheck everything tonight when I get off work.

Not a Ford thing, wires are wires, and in an engine bay "they" don't add extra wires, so pretty much all of them need to be plugged in :)
Could have pulled them back out of the way and unplugged somes wires near the drivers side firewall

Using distributor or carb, fuel injection or coil pack doesn't matter, they all needed to be hooked up correctly or engine didn't work well.
Reason you may know more about distributor and carbs is because you had to adjust them all the time, lol, shear repetition made us better with those pain in the butt devices, can't say I miss anything about them.

MAF sensor is on the air cleaner box, 4 wires.
(51)ECT sensor is on lower intake above thermostat, the 2 wire one, 1 wire sender is for dash temp gauge.
Coil pack has 3 coils inside, 6 spark plug wires, check its 4 wire connector.

And firing order on coil pack is a bit odd the first time you set it up

Ford numbers cylinders this way
3 6
2 5
1 4
front

And on coil pack the wires are
3 4
2 6
1 5
front

That 5 6 4 side will get you every time, I still get it wrong if in a hurry
Even reversed wires at the 4 5 6 spark plugs, so triple check firing order from coil pack to spark plug

No, not ON the firewall.

Loose on the wiring harness running on the backside of the engine there would be a plug hanging down that is not connected to anything if you have a manual trans, it is suppose to have a weather proof cap on it.
Automatic would have a wiring harness plugged in to that, it is for the neutral safety switch

I just did my valve cover gaskets. In the process, I knocked the plug loose to a fuel injector. Make sure you didn't do something like that. Took me three days, a set of spark plugs, and brand new spark wires before I figure that one out.
