I have a 91 Ranger 2WD with 3.0L and 5 spd that has been sitting up in my woods for years, because I never could find a reasonably priced used trans. for it. Well, to attempt making a long story short..I also have a 89 Bronco II which I wrecked in the front a while back. My wife bought me a 90 Ranger for Christmas to strip the front sheet metal off of to fix my Bronco, which I did. The parts Ranger had a 2.3 L in it with a "M" code 5 spd, which I pulled the guts out of and put in my 3.0 L trans. case to complete my 91. During the time it was parked up in the woods, somebody cut the plug with a few inches of wire off the MAP Sensor mounted on the rt. side firewall just above the A/C evap . I now have 3 wires coming out of the harness...one is Green w/black stripe, one is Grey w/red stripe and the last is Brown w/white stripe. I robbed a plug off a 89 Bronco II with a 2.9L but it (and every other plug off every other Ranger and Bronco II here) has a different color code . I have no idea which position my harness wires on the 91 would connect to the other plug ! Does anyone have a 91 Ranger with a 3.0 L that would look under the hood and tell me which position in the plug each colored wire goes? This is the only thing holding me up from putting this little truck back in service. All my service manual wiring diagrams have a "typical" diagram for 3.0L and 4.0L lumped together with different color wires than what I have on my 3.0 L. If I look at the sensor as it is mounted, looking straight into the outlet where the plug goes into and with the vacuum nipple to the right of the plug outlet the wires on my 89 Bronco II plug with the locking tab to the bottom, the wires are as follows: Black w/white left position, Blue w/green center position and Orange w/white right position ,closest to the vacuum port, just for reference as to how I am viewing it. Any help would surely be appreciatted !!!, Thanks"DOC"
