My 97, 4.0 has developed (what I hope) is the dreaded rocker tick again, from what sounds like one rocker on the passenger side. I changed these out a few years ago, and can't believe the noise is back. I used a kit off of Ebay, using Elgin parts, so i really figured they'd be ok. I'm going to tear back into it this weekend and see what's going on, but if there is another rocker issue is there anything I can do to the rocker shaft to aid in the oiling of the rockers?I run Mobil1, and have for the last 160,000 miles or so (currently at 257k), and last time I had a valve cover off everything was clean. I also have an old Chrysler Conquest, and there's a tip for drilling passages out in certain rocker shafts to give better flow. Anything like that to do here?
Thanks.
Thanks.
