i am not new to the site but this is the first forum ive ever used. so this may have already come up, but i was wondering if u can swap out a non tack cluster for one that has a tach and just plug it in and it will work or do u have to run new wires to hook it up? o yea its an 86 4x4 with the 2.9 5 speed if that makes a diferance. id apreciate any help yall can give me!:buttkick:

Hmmm, never gave that one a thought.

I guess you could, as long as your 18 position connector has the 16awg black/yellow wire in position 3 and the 16awg green/yellow wire in position 4.

to be honest ur speaking spanish as far as im concerned i dont know a whole lot about wiring mainly just the basics but i got a buddy of mine that knows more about it thats helping me out with the wiring problems on this thing that may know wut ur talkin about but i thought about this the other day after i went and picked a cluster up from the junkyard but i got it from a 4 cyl truck would that make a differance?
