He posted a question about door locks in the B2 specific section in the middle of the night and got a little antsy when no one had responded by noon. Something about 'FNG treatment' and 'cold shoulders'.

I told him to chill out, that he posted in a somewhat obscure section for that kind of question, on a day that is already kinda slow, and that he needed to chill, with an attitude that reciprocated his. I then suggested he could have used the search function, since I know I've given people the same test I told him to use. Then I told him the tests to do. He go mad, edited the post I originally replied to to take out his pissiness, and is he now apparently trolling me.

Just ignore him. I'm not worried about it.

Ah ...kinda pathetic. Besides anything posted in a forum can take a while to get answered lol. His local shop can be much Faster if you want answers lol. Anyways yea you can do a simple compass like the thermometer I posted but requires a but more work and a breadboard it looks like. The display would be compact but the rest would have to be stashed elsewhere.

Stashing is no problem. It's pretty easy actually. If it only takes 4 or 5 wires even better, I rip the buttons out, I rip the 4x4 module out, and I use the existing wires to connect them.

I was just hoping someone had seen a kit out there somewhere. I've seen a lot of compact customizable displays, they are all just a lot more than I care to spend for this right now.

I figured that's why I was aiming for diy with parts from radioshack.

I would love something where the manual shows the gear your in. On the third gen it's just a blank plate...kinda looks outta place. No idea what I could for there though.
