Where in the circuit? For temporary diagnostics, you can ground the fuel pump test on the diagnostic connector. You could run a fuse and do it from the relay plug w/ your own stuff. Or go further past the inertia switch; follow the P/? wire from your secondary frame mounted pump up towards the driver's fire all plugs. On my '88, there was an undocumented plug not in my EVTM ('88) that you could directly apply 12 volts to through a relay set up. FWIW If you use a switch directly, it will burn up either quickly or eventually.
