Which to choose...

Well I have a bit of an issue I need my fellow ranger guys to help me choose I can either 2.3turbo swap my clean 88 2wd 5spd 4cyl that already runs and drives or I can fix the trans In my v8 swapped build ranger a 87 4x4 auto and have another driving truck soooo any thoughts??? Let me know!!!

I guess it depends on what you want.

If you want it to work with fix the 5.0.

If you just want go-fast fun turbo.

I agree.

Keep the running truck running while you fix the V8.

While swaps always go smoothly and there are never any problems that takes days to get parts for, it is something that can happen

Hhhhmmm I'll agree with you guys having another truck that is driveable even though it still has a laundry list of problems its self still makes more sense than tearing apart my dd lol

Get a degree in archaeology and dig up bones...that makes it easier to accept cars that don't go very fast without spending too much money on them...

I can't offer anything more than absurdity here...probably because I'm jealous...

If it were my choice...I'd go with fixing the broken one before breaking the fixed one...

If it ain't broke you ain't trying...

I would vote fix the V8 if it is just a trans but the "laundry list of problems" puts a different spin on it. Like say a broken frame, rotten floor and only running on 3 cylinders changes things considerably.

Ha ha here's the short story the cab is trash she burns a little oil has horrible bump steer soild frame and a minor wiring issue (that's mostly my fault ) it won't shift makes some awful noises that I can't seem to pin point exactly leaks powersteering fluid and was poorly built before I bought it .....so it has its problems ha ha

Sounds like a cob job. I'd offload it as fast as possible and find something better to daily & build your current driver.

Thinking about it yeahh I prolly should there's not much sense in keeping anymore I do really like it tho I have put so much work Into it already I mean look at the punisher b2 it started as a pile of parts with no axles and he made a monster out of it im just looking for "normal" just make it as good as it can be with what I have and ride that out for awhile
