No problem man. I always post part numbers because I hate finding a post that has what I need and there's no part number!

Christmas just keeps coming in my neck of the woods. Motor mounts, radiator hoses, heater hoses, u joints, spark plugs, wires, water pump, etc

This past weekend I got most the engine bay disassembled. Radiator, AC, wiring harness, etc. Also pulled the Transfer Case, exhaust and driveshafts.

The 1354 Electric shift that is in the explorer works perfectly. I may end up using that for now because I have been looking for a good 1354 Manual and someone is stealing them all from the wrecking yards around here and any that are still there have wobbly rear output shaft bearings. :annoyed:

This week I'll get the engine, trans and dash pulled out. Then I can drop it all into my Ranger.

Picked this up today. It's a steering column from a 2002 Saturn Vue with an electric power assist. That small black box is a control unit for it.

That's right. The danger ranger is getting electric power steering. The Ford power steering whine and leak will be no more. Never dealing with that shite again. This will be nice because I'll have power steering even when the engine isn't running.

The fun part will be getting it to bolt up, and getting the steering columns to match.

Just scored this camper shell for $80. It's in really good shape for how cheap it was. Now I don't have to use my gypsy tent when I go camping.

It's meant for a newer ranger so it doesn't line up with the cab perfectly but it's good enough for this rig.

Jealous! I'd love to find a nice fiberglass shell for mine! And that electronic power steering is neat. I believe theres a write up on how to do it over on turborangerforums.com

my truck over spring break and now daily driving it. Its a blast on 12psi haha. Slowly getting the tune adjusted just right (megasquirt based ecu in it) before I really start to crank it up

Few pictures from the previous weeks blizzard here in NY. Ended up with 30+ inches over 3 days :icon_surprised:

Also do you have a front locker in your truck? If so how well does it perform? I have an Aussie in the explorer rear and I love it, so I'm looking forward to adding one to the D35 this summer. But I'm also considering going with a jeep lsd in it.

Damn dude that's quite the blizzard! I bet your truck is a lot of fun with 12psi. I really wish I would have gone the turbo route on my truck but the 4.0 just made more sense financially and practically. I like how you can see the charge air cooler through the grill.

I'll have to check out the write-up on the electric power steering, I was just going to figure it out myself but if someone has done it already then it'd be nice to see what they ran into.

I have an Aussie locker in my front D35. It's awesome. It unlocks when not under throttle so turning while in 4wd isn't too bad. I have a lock-rite in the 7.5" rear that isn't as well mannered; it likes to clunk and bang every now and then driving on the street but what can you expect from a cheap lunchbox locker.

Its for '95+ trucks but it should be pretty similar to the older stuff.

Very cool on the locker, now I really want to get one haha! That and a little more lift should hold me over for a while lol.

You'll love having the locker in the front if you go wheeling a lot. It makes a huge difference.

Got the 4.0 and M5od out of the donor explorer in one piece.

By some miracle I got all 4 y pipe bolts out of the manifolds without any breaking

This flywheel has seen better days

I'm going to order a rebuild kit for the trans; the bearings in it don't feel too healthy

Got the engine mostly stripped so I can start putting in all the new gaskets, spark plugs, etc. All the injectors had bad o rings and brittle pintle caps so I ordered some of those.

So this is why everything was so easy to take apart, especially the manifold bolts. This '92 4.0 got some 93TM heads at some point in it's life. Nice.
