I've been told that it is hard to bleed the clutch m/c. I've tried a couple of different ways but it still feels like it has air in it. Any hints. Thanks

The Master clinder used from '83-92 will slowly self bleed,
IF you can resist the temptation to try to use the bleeder
screw on the slave.

THE thing you need to do is walk away... go watch a movie
play Doom, screw your girlfriend (do it right, not a quicky)

The thing is it takes TIME for the bubbles to rise to the top
after you've stirrred them in.

On a 1993-94, or a 1995-current the master cylinder must be nose up
to get the air out, this is because the supply hose from the reservoir
is not at the highest point in the cylinder with the piston retracted.

I described in another post in this sub-forum how I get them bled.

You can theoretically bleed it yourself without any fancy setup
but you need an extra hand to make it less than a total PITA.

Thanks Allan, I did take the time to read most of the threads (after I posted) and I see I'm not the only one cussing Ford for this design. Thanks
