Hello everyone, my name is Sean. I'm a novice mechanic (at best) with an unending persistence to finish projects and a willingness to learn. I have completed mostly basic repairs when needed on various in my upbringing.
I build simple and practical furniture around the house, collect records, play the drums, love the outdoors (camp, hike, backpack, snowboard, etc) and I just started an electrical apprenticeship.
I was using my partners car and public transportation but needed a car for my new job. I recently purchased a 98' Ranger XLT reg cab 4.0L V6 OHV on craigslist with 156k miles. It was affordable and was primarily used as a work truck and a daily driver by previous owners. The test drive really only showed signs of wear and tear, i.e. busted dome light, older tires, driver window sticks when rolled down, blown bulbs, broken tailgate latch, a bad bondo job below a taillight, nicks and dings, etc..
Now I'm doing some repairs and I have some questions! Glad I found this site, I'm looking forward to posting and learning!
