Default Took truck to get transmission rebuilt, now wipers/speedo/4x4 don't work.

I just picked my truck up from the transmission shop after having the gearbox rebuilt, and now I am having some electrical issues. The windshield wipers, four wheel drive, speedometer, courtesy light and door dinger all do not work. I am also getting the airbag light flashing on the dash, giving the code 12. Also fuse #25 is a 7.5 amp fuse which is blown, all I had for a spare was a 15, put it in and the everything that wasn't working seemed to come back but a small amount of smoke started coming out from the odometer/speedometer area so I pulled it back out.

I suspected a ground that didn't get reconnected or a something in the harness left disconnected, but after searching around with a flash light for an hour or so I can't see anything obvious. Anyone dealt with a similar issue?

Not sure if it's related but I'd like to add that it could be a sign of a bad GEM.
Common Symptoms of a Bad GEM:
~windshield wipers work only sometimes or not at all
~Dome light stays on, works or not at all
~Power windows quit working
~Dashlights quit working
~Radio stops working
