What does the exhaust color look like and feel like?

Could be clogged exhaust, REV engine and feel exhaust flow out the tail pipe, if pressure flattens out as RPMs are still going up you have a restriction.
Vacuum gauge is $25 and a very helpful tool for diagnosing power issues, including clogged exhaust.

If exhaust is grayish you are running too rich, if engine pings after warm up you are running too lean.
Is Choke Plate opening all the way after warm up?

If exhaust is whitish color you are burning coolant
