Should this bolt up I tried to get the same year. I thought buy both vehicles being two wheel drives that it would drop right in place. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I notice lots here do four wheel engine swaps. Really want to here this 5.0 rumbling in my short bed two wheel drive. Been searching for a long time trying to find a two wheel drive explore with the 5.0. Hope it hasn’t been for nothing.

My credo
Break it right the first time. Fix it better the next time.
Need lots more info. Year of the ranger, engine size, Auto/Manual, and is it coil or torsion bar suspension.

99 explorers did not come with coil springs on the front from the factory to my knowledge. 91-94 coil springs 95-01 torsion bars. Does your ranger have the v6?

Nope 2.5 and it’s coil springs. I don’t believe the 2.5 was in 91-94 either

I know the ranger is coil spring. I was going off your post saying that both the truck and the donor were coil spring. As I stated the explorer is torsion bar. You are going to have to do some welding and make some custom motor mounts. There is no way around it.

My apologies I miss read I believe your right advance adapters said reverse the engine mounts but still it didn’t want to sit in the engine compartment correctly
