Hey everyone, I'm Charly. This is my first post here so please forgive me if I'm not doing this correctly.
I just bought a set of 4 18's factory wheels from a 16 explorer. I'm looking to install them on to my 2011 ranger 2wd. Just curious if anyone has done that already and what tire size I should go with. I'm looking to get something a little bigger than my factory tires but nothing that will rub. Thanks in advance!

Are you sure the bolt pattern is the same?

bolt pattern should be the same, but the Explorers offset runs in the hi 30s.
I would at the least mount a rim to see if it clears on the backside before buying tires.

Thanks for the info. Ill make sure they fit without tires first. I got them for $150 last night so in the event they don't fit I shouldn't have too much trouble getting rid of them. Thanks again!

Good to know. Not sure why I had in mind that they'd changed things up when the Ranger and Explorer diverged around '02.

The diverge grew a lot bigger in '11. Ford seems pretty stuck on their 5x4.5" bolt pattern.

Everything is going to FWD like offsets though. :annoyed:

that allows for a wider suspension/frame to be used. then use the hi offset to pull the wheels back in to maintain the same track width.

Still don’t care for the look. I like a little dish.
