Looking to pick someone's brain on some wiring issues who has used the Thunderbird HO motor, wiring harness and computer in a gen 2 Ranger.

I put a 92 Thunderbird 5.0 HO motor & ecu wiring harness in my 84 Ranger about 10 years ago. What issues are you having? BTW I live about 20 miles form you in Greenville.

I'm having problems with how to wire in the delays and a few plugs over by the master cylinder , which I think feeds the chassis pwr.

jeepfreek, can you post some pictures of the relays and wiring that you are talking about. Did your 89 have a fuel injected 2.9 or 3.0 V6 or was it a 4 banger? If your truck it was already fuel injected it should be easier than what I had to do. I converted a carbureted 2.8 V6 to EFI 5.0. I had to look at wiring diagrams from the 84 Ranger & the 92 Thunderbird to figure out where to splice in for power for things like the fuel pump and ECU. Do you have the wiring diagram for the Thunderbird 5.0? I eliminated the EGR valve on mine and some of the emissions valves, but I had wire in some resistors and a EGR Eliminator to fool the ECU into thinking they were still there.

It's a 1989 2.9 efi, installing a 1993 Thunderbird 302 . I'm little confused on the fuel pump relay, eec relay and wot relay. Im using the moates quarter horse programmer and deleting the smog pump and egr. I'll post some pictures later
