I received my newest LMCtruck catalogue and noticed they have a complete V8 swap kit available on page 114 of the Ranger catalogue. The kit includes motor mounts, oil filter relocate and new Hedman Headers. Motor mounts: $129.95, Oil filter relocate: $84.95, and headers: Black-$299.95 and ceramic coated-$599.95. From reading the article on flipping a 5.0 into a Ranger with a 2.9L, there still needs to be a new or different oil pan and then if you have a tranny with a computer you should be set. I might add though that these parts are for a 2WD only. I'm not sure why there would be a difference except for the exhaust headers not reaching down far enough, but I'm sure that a good exhaust man can fix that issue.
This is the first time I've seen all the necessary parts available at the same place. Now I'm wanting to do the switch even more.
