Pry worried over nothing....heres where it sat and never moved...higher then id like but whats yalls opinion?
Only time i got it to creep upwards was when i got home and turned the blower on...i think i need to diagnose electric not cooling, the heater hoses wernt even hot enough for me to pull my hand away. T stat hasnt locked in failsafe, still hits temp in 3 or 4 miles@ 55* or so.
That temp seems kind of high to me, on my 84 Ranger it used to sit closer to the bottom to the middle of the R normally. It would rise up like in your picture sitting in traffic for a short time with the AC on but would cool right back down if the AC was shut off, or tranny put in neutral and engine revved up a bit, or I started moving.
If your fan is working properly it should be keeping things cooler than that unless you have a 200 degree or higher thermostat...possibly air in the cooling system, I know in my 84 Ranger and 84 Bronco 2 the damn thing was a pain in the ass to get the air out of the cooling system after replacing a hose.
My 88 Bronco 2 I installed a 180 degree thermostat and the temp runs right at the bottom of the R all the time. I have to be stopped with the AC on for quite a while before the temp climbs to anywhere near a worrying level. I replaced the fan clutch in mine last year, pain in the ass to get the dang thing lose, finally got it though, but you gotta have some slim wrenches to get in there. The fan clutch I got was a heavier duty one so it is engaged for a while first thing in the mornings, and I find it engages pretty early on which is good it keeps things cool in the summer heat.
