So I did my SAS about 4 months ago and has been great. I love it. But i never had a front driveshaft until about a week ago. Now that it is in, you can here what sounds like the chain spinning in my transfer case as the driveshaft spins. I know this is because of the automatic hubs making the driveshaft spim whereas the ifs it didnt, my big question is, is this ruining my transfer case?? The 4wheel drive works perfect no problems. I just want to know if anyone has this same noise and if it is something i should take concern in? I really dont want to buy a 1200 dollar D30 lock out hub conversion kit. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The D30 doesn't have automatic hubs on it. It is always connected to the spinning tires. The front drive shaft will turn all the time now, which is why you are hearing it in the tcase. If it seems really loud, it may need bearings in the tcase depending on mileage.

I would wait to see what other guys say who actually have the D30 up front, before I would tear into it.
