This is the kind of project where you can get help if you know what your talking about. It sounds like you need to do some more research. Use the search function at the top of the page because there is alot of info on here about it.

For the front doubler case, it's a lot easier to use a 1350 for a variety of reasons. For the transfer case, it does not matter which case you use, as the front plate and input of a 1350 and 1354 are identical.

Go to Google and type in "RBV doubler" and search. Click on the first link to read my most up-to-date write-up.

Two kits available:

D.D. Machine "Box 4 Rocks" kit,
and the "Stubler"

The STubler is complete and just needs to be assembled, the Box 4 Rocks kit is just the plates to assemble the cases together, and a one-piece chromoly coupling shaft, you supply the t-case and cut it to fit (a small bit of welding on the aluminum case is needed, although even JB Weld can work if you do it right). Being the D.D. Machine kit is incomplete, it's also half the cost as well.

If you're battling an extremely tight situation with the fuel tank (some Rangers and Explorer Sport), the Stubler is about ¾" shorter, could be just enough to make it fit.

The D.D. Machine kit IMO I think is stronger, due to the one-piece shaft it comes with (stubler uses a two-piece shaft). I have yet to see a shaft failure on either setup however (don't ever use the box in low, with the rear case in HI, and you shouldn't have a problem).

Stubler kit:

D.D. Machine is a bit behind the times though (no website that I know of).

I thought I had a phone # for him, although I can't seem to find it now (A search here or on Google may turn it up though, it's been posted on the forum before, and on other forums as well (he makes Jeep 231 kits too).

Hope that helps

Supposedly he's back up & running now, people have finally gotten their kits (the guy he had heat-treating the shafts is apparently who was flaking out on him).

IMO, it seems to me a different heat treater could've been found a bit quicker, although I couldn't say for sure since I'm not in that business.

I have a D.D. Machine kit in my BII and an very happy with it (I got mine a little before D.D.'s hangup with the heat treater though)

He sells them for $499? What does that include? Seems like a great deal. It cost me at least $300 to build my own.

EDIT: Ok, read Junkies post. Great deal, seeing as manual 1350s can be had around here for $50. That brings the cost to only $550.
