Your glove box should already have a lock on it... Every other car does, including the 4 RBV's I've had (84 Ranger, 94 Exploer, 02 B2300, and my 93 Ranger).

This past week I was sitting in another Ranger and it didnt have a locking glove box, I remember thinking how that was strange.

I wish I could remember whos truck it was, I think it was my boss's '98, I'll take a look tomorrow.

Anyways If your truck dosn't have one just swap one out with a locking one from a truck at the Junk Yard, but then again you would need the key for that.

if you jot down the vin number from the truck you get the locking box from, the dealer could cut you a key for it. i dont think you can re-key the glove box tumblers...but then again ive never tried. you might be able to key it to fit your current ignition key if having two keys is a problem for you.

i cant think of any way you could convert your current glove box and still have it look halfway decent. id hit the junkyard.

Every 95+ Ranger dash I have seen does not have a lock on the glove box. Now that I started removing the faceplate from my stereo, I wish I had a lockable box to put it in.

If it's the glovebox door, no. They're pretty different.

if your looking for a locking glove box to secure items against theft, forget the idea. glove boxes are extremely easy to break into (plastic doors, plastic latches, plastic hinges). if you locked your truck doors and someone went through the trouble to break a window/jimmy the lock, then they will have no reservation about just ripping the glove box open...leaving you with the same amount of stolen goods and even more repair work to do. locking glove boxes are best used to keep kids out of things you dont want them into or to keep the honest people honest.
