Petrol90 and clean the threads up and use anti-seize when installing. Buy a GOOD T-55 socket.

The best ones are the two-piece design, basically a torx bit epoxied/pressed into a socket. If you look at AutoZone, they got some one-piece solid forged ones that are really, really soft, and will slowly twist, until they twist off.

I took mine out about 3 weeks ago to do the bodylift and they all snapped off with pbblaster. When I got them out they were so rusted out that the overall diameter wasnt bigger than a #2 pencil. My truck is only a 92!

Rusted bed bolts must just be a rustbelt thing..

On my '93, I sprayed a very small amount of WD40 on them, and then they came rights out. Not a spec of rust on them. They were somewhat tight getting them out (once they were already partially out), but that was becuase of caked on dirt on the threads, not rust.
