I don't know how many MMA/UFC fans are on TRS but I happen to be one, so here is a poll:

Been a fan for years. I rarely miss an event when it comes to the UFC and try and catch as many local cards as possible.

I was a big fan of PRIDE back in the day as well. Too bad the Japanese can't seem to run an MMA promotion to save their lives.

On a related note, the original Brazillian Jiu Jitsu master, Helio Gracie, died in his sleep last night at the age of 95. The man is a true legend. I still wish to this day I could have witnessed his grappling match with Masahiro Kimura back in the 50's. Kimura tore Helio to shreds and broke his arm, but that stubborn prick refused to tap.

R.I.P.

EDIT: Oh, and I pick GSP to get the "W". I'm a huge BJ Penn fan as well, but I just can't seem to put faith in the fact that he is dedicated to improving his cardio. Guess we will find out Saturday!

Man I really don't know who to pick here. GSP has amaaazing wrestling, that's what won the first fight for him. I still believe that BJ is a superior striker and jiu-jitsu artist. Personally I think the fight is gonna end up on the ground, Georges will take it there because he's far more powerful and as said before the better wrestler. But, from there I have no idea where it goes. Either GSP is gonna ground and pound it out or BJ's freakishly flexible hawaiian ass is gonna pull out some crazy submission that I have no idea how to spell.

i dont know about these two guys since i stopped watching due to lack of interest in over hyped fighters. but in my experiance as a wrestler and brazilian jiu-jitzu, everyone i know that has taken brazilian has always said the biggest fear was a wrestler that knew what he was doing. brazilian teaches you how to get out of most holds quick but a wrestler is taught how to lock something in and not let go. if you cant get out your screwed. but in the same sense put a wrestler in his back and hes usually screwed. hence why i stopped wrestling after high school. no defense if your put on your back.
