Hauling concerns

Hey guys, looking for some opinions from y'all. I just got back into the ranger scene after being absent for about 2 1/2 years. I recently picked up a 2001 ranger edge, 3.0, 2wd, 5 speed about 2 weeks ago. After about 4 days i lost the slave cylinder in the transmission. I went ahead and replaced the slave cylinder, clutch, pressure plate, and had the flywheel resurfaced while I was under there. Im going camping next wednesday. About a 200 something mile drive. 4 hours.

My first concern is, I will have half of the bed full of firewood and the other half camping gear. (possibly a trailer with 4 canoes and 2 kayaks). Will the clutch, slave cylinder, etc.. be broken in enough for this haul? There will only be about 350-400 miles on the new stuff.

My second concern is, I have a slight vibration at 65mph. Not sure what it is? I checked entire driveline and found nothing. This was before the I worked on the trans. Still there after i worked on the trans. I read on here where some other guys were having the same problem with this generation of rangers. Ring and pinion I believe is what they said the reason was for the vibration. Now that has me conerned with the weight in my bed and the possible trailer. My concern is not wether my ranger can tow it, but rather should I be concerned with the vibration and the weight adding to the load on the driveline? Mainly the ring and pinion. P.S. 7.5 rear axle with 3.73's.

As long as you don't slip it a lot the clutch won't care. It doesn't really matter they don't like to be slipped no matter how old they are.

Dunno about the vibe, not a really common thing for a Ranger.

Vibrations around sixty mph are usually tyre related.

Tires are brand new. Had problem before and after tires. Also had an alignment done. Still vibration persists. It's not constant though, forgot to mention that. It's just random times. But when it does happen, it's always at 65. I don't know what it is about 65?

Is it a low-medium hum vibration? or like a shaking vibration?

Former = u-joint, most likely
Latter = tires or bent wheel/axle flange.

Its possible one of your rims is slightly bent. I had a bent rim once. I tried 3 different tires on said rim. On the advice of the tire shop I finally junked the rim. No more vibrations.

Its not a shaking vibration, more like the hum. It could be a bent rim, but wouldnt I feel the vibration all the time, through all speeds? Not just around 65.

As long as your clutch master/slave cylinders have been bled properly, and its working properly, you shouldn't have a problem with the hauling/towing like other's have said avoid slipping the clutch, hard to do sometimes, but avoid riding the clutch or you'll quickly get it slipping and overheating and you will end up with big problems once again.

Those new tires wouldn't happen to be a set a big knobby off-roading/all-terrain tires, possibly of an offshore economy brand by any chance?
