This is my '57 ford F-100 pickup. It was originally my fathers, he traded my mothers snowmobile for it in 1995. it was flat towed home behind an 88' BroncoII with the fenders, hood and other junk in the bed. Today it's got a 351W out of a '78 econoline van and a C6 trans, hoping to switch to a manual if i can find a good deal on one. The front suspension is wooped from years of driving with a few leafs taken out. i've been trying to figure out how to drop it another 2inches in the front while improving ride quality. i'll also be doing some lighting alterations and new seats. currently 2 buckets from a 94 explorer but looking for a split bench type of setup. the interior, or lack of it will be getting some TLC and hopefully a good shot of paint.

Nice truck! I'm thinking about picking one up myself soon. If you don't mind telling, how much did it set you back?

It was my dads project when i was a little kid, he got it on the road for a year or two and parked it. it remained untouched until about 6 years ago i turned 16 and started working on it. my dad liked what i was doing and said it was mine if i put the money and work into it. so to answer your question.. well the cost of a plate and title transfer lol like 90 bucks

i've got the carb rebuilt, waiting to do the intake manifold gaskets this weekend if possible. I recently purchased a red bench seat from an '80s F250 for 50 bucks. pretty sure it should fit good just have to make some brackets to make it sit higher.

Just got the old girl running, bench seat is in but not bolted down yet. it went in easy, i just welded two pieces of 1'' angle to the bottom and one across the back. Finally ordered a front disc brake conversion kit for 350 with shipping.

doing research on the front disc conversion. it's proving to be a lil more complicated due to the fact i don't want to shell out another 400 bucks for a master, booster, combo valve. i'm gonna go to the junkyard to see if an 80's/90's pickup has what i need, for a fraction of the cost. To put in perspective this thing currently takes 300ft to stop from 60mph. my bronco would stop from 60 in less than 140ft.

got the brakes on over the weekend, took a bit longer than i thought. wasn't exactly bolt on lol. had to press out the bearing races in the rotors, grind off a part of the calipers and the driver side rotor rubbed a bit so there was more grinding there. i'll try to post some pics here soon. i've got an idea for a new battery box.
