Moving right along (yeaaah...right!)......all the pads and shoes look nearly new after 70,000 miles of wear!

Now.....the power brake drum is wheezing pretty-good and has trouble holding a vacuum-----which explains the 17 inch engine idle vacuum on the dash gauge.

I exchanged it for a new one at AutoZone....................

My truck has a lifetime warranty on all parts from those guys.... :yahoo:

Sometimes I wonder about that "life time" warranty, is it the lifetime of the truck, lifetime of the person, or lifetime of the part???

I think it's the lifetime of the receipt, you know how it works, you put it safely away, and then about a year later when you need it the type has faded away and you just have a piece of plain paper.

The old invisible ink trick!

The brakes are working great now. The left rear brake light quit working though-----so I COULD'NT get the yearly Safety Sticker!

After an hour of tracing frame wiring I ended up at the tilt steering column!!!

The G/R colored wire had a bad connection inside the directional signal switch.

Very bright of Ford to wire the brake light bulb that way :annoyed:

Another hour later.......the brake light worked........

ALSO........the horn does not blow any more WHEN I TURN THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL ON!!!!!

The Ranger is still chugging along!

I haven't installed the headliner yet....I have to do some fiberglassing on the insert that fits in the top of the cab.

Can't rush these things...:icon_rofl:

Since winter landed in October up here...:bawling:...I'm not gettin' much done either.

It's been 20 to 40 degrees below normal, and I lose at least half of every week to rain (or snow...)

The New BII is still there...but nothin' done there either.

I have the same excuse, by the time I finish shoveling the snow I don't feel like doing anything, except perhaps having a lay down.

Me......:dunno:

The high was 17 degrees here a few weeks back. That's February weather. I'm trying to build a barn, and it was so cold that when ever the air compressor would kick on, it'd blow the breaker in the house. So I'd hit a few nails...the compressor would kick on and blow the breaker. I'd walk to the house and ask the lady to come in and trip the breaker... go back out and blast a few more nails, and the process would start all over again. Then, it warmed up to about freezing, but then it's rain, so I tarped the whole damned thing and cut and built all the rafter bents and spacers, then wait for a dry day to throw up as much as I can, then it's raining again.

At this rate, I wont be done by Christmas...
