My 88 Bronco has 3.45 rear end and I have a 3.73 out of a 84 I want to install, and there's no front Dana 28 axle code label. My ? is, are the front and rear axle ratios the same?(logic tells me they are)So when I change out the rear end do I also have to match the ratio for the front axle.

If you ever plan on putting it in 4 wheel drive, yes, the Front and Rear ratio's need to match.
