So 1 of my sons brand new Monroe shocks snapped in two. Bought it from RockAuto and installed them myself correctly. Less than 45 days old and he started getting a metal clank. I looked under the truck and found the right front shock snapped in two pieces. Took both pieces off so as not to take out a break line or something. My question is will he be fine to drive until the replacement gets here? I have already ordered a replacement so it will be just a few days. We test drove it and it seems to be fine. Just want to make sure. Thanks for the help!!!

I would only drive it like that if absolutely necessary and not at highway speeds at all.
