Hey there... I've got a 2008 explorer sport trac 4x4 v8.
went and got the oil changed and discovered I've got a pinion seal leak. Ok cool dealt with HOWEVER found out my u joint was starting to seize. Ford gives the u joint to me to find out that it's got 4 frikken "kits" you need to pick and choose for the right shims for fit. Original u joint was welded in(solid unit) smallest shims fit(104) now this is where it gets interesting. Take my truck hit 80k/hr start going faster and my truck is a vibrator on wheels. Driveline vibration. Took truck back and the u joints "loose". Tried next size shim and they're too big. I'm thinking Ford gave me the wrong part. I'm in Canada so the pn could be different in the US, but this is it...017-7a2z-4635-c...hellppppp?!!!?!
