My 1994 Ford Ranger failed Smog check today. It failed the new Low-Pressure Fuel Evaporative Test. I was told that it probably was the hose that went to the top of the fuel tank. I am guessing that this is part of the circulating fuel system. I am looking for ideas, looking for a diagram of fuel system and where else the problem might be. In the test they pinched off a hose in the engine compartment and applied air through the gas filler tube, the pressure must hold for several minutes, it did not. Every thing else pass the test.

I think you have a great idea with an Emissions forums on Ranger Station.
