That is great Alec. Looks like the new rear coil overs are working good. Was that a rough landing in the last picture? In those you tube videos from earlier this year that I watched that red box ranger really sounds good, and I do also like the suspension setup.

No not rough at all. The added travel and having the right spring rates and valving made a world of difference. Truck has never been so fast. Can't wait till the next race. Ya that red ranger if pretty fast for a leaf springer on a stock 302.

Good to see this beauty back in action. You have done an amazing transformation on this ranger since you have owned it, still my favorite ranger prerunner ever...period.

Thanks man, you'll have to come for a ride sometime!

Video from testing.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but i can't seem to get the owner of this build or a word of advice about the set up, also awesome truck, started on page 1. So cool to see how far it has come.

anyways, i want to run a set up like the pictures, 10" shock, f31s, 4" 2.0 bump stops, camburg shackles, and kartek drop hanger. How well will this ride? assuming shock tuning is close.

I can't do a bed cage this is the reason for it, and the truck will only see the desert maybe 20% of the time if that. i have a bms mid travel kit with bumps strapped at 13"

pic won't upload, but its a tube running under the bed between the frames with a new mount off the axle

Haven't updated lately. Ate the bearings/synchros in the trans. Got that fixed as well as other prep done.

Put a windshield on it and new tires and started driving it on the street a bit. Now torn down again getting ready for the big race in February.

Been awhile since I have seen a windshield in the truck. Looking good as it should. I would like to do a ride still. In the middle of moving to Oregon. When I get settled in I will take a drive down.

Where's the race gonna be?

Cool, let me know and we'll coordinate something. The next race is Battle at Primm in Primm Nevada Feb 12th

I can't believe how much this truck has transformed since your first post in 2009.

Hell, I can't believe we're still reading a thread that started in 2009!

Those are good gps systems, you chose wisely. When I get settled in Oregon, and I assist with fuel funds. Would you consider driving to Oregon, and do a good run at the Oregon dunes? The dunes are right there at the coast. There are pine trees and mountains in the back ground.

That would be some sweet pictures.

Ya I have heard good things about those dunes. If I can get a few othe trucks to tag along I'd be down to make a trip up there. Looks fun.
