So I'm going to ask the noob question.
1985 Bronco 2 2.8 v6 4x4 with the FM-145 5 speed Transmission
I'm getting my old truck back on the road and due to it leaking a few drops of fluid after every trip around the neighborhood I need to stop the leak and refill.
My 85' Bronco 2 has the FM-145 5 speed transmission...with a seized plug.
The drain plug is fine, my check plug on the side of my transmission is the issue.
I'm talking pipe wrench with a cheater pipe ain't budging kinda seized...
I'd rather not pull my transmission and drill out the seized plug right now. That project can wait for another day.
Since my seized plug puts the "fill it until it dribbles out" method unusable...
If any of you mechanics can recall, about how much fluid does my transmission take?
Our TRS guide says 4.8 Pints. Now is that total capacity or the recommended amount? My Chiltons helps but sometimes I trust you guys more..

Thanks for the help

No responses so I filled it with the 4.8 pints. We'll see how it goes, or I'll be scrounging around the parts for sale thread...
