Im making a Hall Tree (coat rack) out of a tree, some branches, and mostly by hand. I wanted some opinions on how it looks so far, and some advice on how to make it fancier. Note that I have only been working on it for a week and a half now. 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

This is the before and after of one of my hat-hangers, I have 2 of 3 made, all are going to be different. Took me about 30 minutes to do this, and my shop teacher was gracious enough to let me use my cell phone as a camera haha.

Crit?

This is the main pole, no power tools were used at all, all using a chisel, saw, and a hammer.

The legs are almost to the point I can get a good image.

How is it so far?

Well, got one of the legs just about finished up, and also got the last hat rack piece turned on the lathe. I used the remnance of a fellow student's project to make it.

Here is the leg, sexy?

Thanks! Yeah, Im good with wood, and Im good with metal (sorta), still getting used to the measuring, cant really sand it down quickly to shave off a 1/4" of metal.

I'm pretty good at welding now though, gonna post up some of my work for the BBQ tank here soon, will have images of my recent welding

This is from a friend's project, they were filling in a hole with Gurilla glue and used a tad too much and it foamed WAY up
