Hi all...please help.
replaced timing belt(it broke) rebuilt head have changed cam and crankshaft sensors, found burnt ignition wires and replaced them. Truck has spark and gas going to the injectors but it will not start!
Also..... with ignition off somehow the battery gets drained.
I am desperately seeking suggestions:

If you have spark and ignition that leaves timing(Cam timing that is) How did you go about setting the cam timing? Also the cam turns twice to every turn of the crank so just because the timing marks line up doesnt mean the cam isn't 180* out.

Welcome to TRS :)

Assuming 2.3l 4cyl engine.

If you spray gas or ether(quick start) into the intake will the engine start?
If it starts and dies then fuel is the problem
If it doesn't start then spark or compression is the problem

Unplug the TPS(throttle position sensor) then try to start, if TPS has a short then fuel injectors won't work.

Incorrect alternator wiring can drain a battery.

Thanks for the info.
I will be checking the cam timing tomorrow.
The engine turns to easy like there is no compression so I will also try and spray the ether and see if it starts. And yep it is a 2.3l.
I will try all suggestions and post the outcome.

Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Timing marks here: http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/marcpod/2010-10-08_025822_f.gif

#1 is the Cam gear(top), 2 and 3 are the timing marks that must be lined up, 2 on the gear 3 on the engine, so about 5 o'clock

#8 is the oil pump gear(center) 13 and 14 are the marks that need to line up, 12 o'clock

#10 is the crank gear, there is a key that holds crank gear on shaft that key needs to be at 90deg to oil pan, so pointing close to 12 o'clock, but some engine are mounted at a slight angle so use the oil pan and 90deg not 12 o'clock
