Was wondering about putting in an electric fan is there any kits or how to kicking around?

Yes, up at the top of the page in the Header Bar you will see "Tech Articles"
Click on that link.

You can use a radiator probe to control when fan comes on and goes off, these just slide in between rad fins so no changing rad hoses to add a temp sensor.

If you are running hot in normal driving . Fix any cooling troubles before adding anything to help it.:D

Not running hot just don't like the clutch driven fan has failed on me in the past I've also seen the tech article on it was just curious to how it would work on my particular tuck and swapping hoses isn't a biggy for me I want to swap them for braided hoses anyhow is there any kits out there?

In my '93 2.3 I found that a 19" universal fan fits perfectly in the fan shroud. I just bought four L-brackets from Home Depot, drilled holes in the shroud and bolted it in.




Here are some pictures of the fan removed from the truck. It probably isn't identical to your '09 4.0 but you get the idea.
