A buddy of mine started racing one of those a few years ago. I think he has since moved up in classes to get more competitive. He said it was a fun car to drive.

That is a nice bit of work.

Forgive my ignorance but, will that radiator actually keep that engine cool when it's pushed hard? Looks way undersized in the pictures.

the radiator is an oem DOHC VTEC Del Sol radiator stk. It came in the 94-97 models and is dual core.

Hondas have a very efficient cooling system especially thanks to the floating sleeves giving large water jackets around each cylinder.

Even with the turbo and my low final drive gear I can cruise at partial throttle for 4+ hours at 70 mph (@ 4,500 rpms) and she never gets over 180 deg.

I upgraded the water pump to a GSR when I built the engine.

I'm located in SC but i've never taken the car to the strip. I've played around with her on a few empty back roads or on the hwy when no one is around. I just built her to see what I could do with a 4 banger.

Nicely done.I bet it would kick the crap out of some v-8's. I had one of these before I bought the ranger.

I wouldn't think twice to get another.

I have very little competition from stk V8 domestics. The HP to weight ratio really helps me out and my car has a very conservitive tune, I built her to handle 400+whp.

I've raced a few newer vetts and 6.0 GTO's and it was no competition.

I doubt any of the vetts were 406's.

The HF you had is a great car. Stk they drive forever and get great gas mileage. With a built engine swap she would be a killer sleeper

It would be considered a basic car by todays standards. No power anything or a/c.Just 91hp & 5spd. Fun car to drive during the summer but it sucked monkey balls in the snow.

you mean LS7 (427)?

Definitely a nice car you have, well built imho.

I'm not sure what engine they have in the Z06 vett. All I know is that they don't make them in convertible and they are the highest output production vett to date.
