Your truck has a CAI, which is what I assume you want... Don't mess with it, all the aftermarket ones do is lighten your wallet...hey im new here and i just bought an 88 ranger. i have looked into LMC and summit for air intake systems and found only air filters.
should i make modifications or what any advise ???

True about the design, but I don't think the engineers ever actually tried removing or installing one of those things...they're heavy and awkward...not the engineers...
