I'm planning on putting gauges in my 88 but cant find a pillar specified for it. Can everyone post a pic of how they modded a universal or just show how you set yours up.:icon_thumby:

i went looking for it the other day and couldn't fine it! my wife "helped" me (read: made me) clean out our 3 car garage a few weeks ago and since then, i haven't been able to find anything! we (she) filled a huge dumpster we had delivered for the "clean up". sometimes, life just sucks... imho.

Bringing back a old post, anyone does anyone make a pillar gauge pod for 1st and or 2nd gen rangers?
For me I'm just looking for a single, but any info on dual is welcome also.

Lets say no one makes one, does anyone know of a nother vehicle that is somewhat close to the 1st/2nd gen rangers that could be slightly modded/molded to make work relatively easy?

I mount them under the dash. If you get a set in a rectangle pod there is a set of holes on the bottom lip of the dash that line up to most of those pod brackets quite well.

I did that same thing on a couple gen 1 trucks. When I did it... I don't think that a-pillar gauges were even a thing.

I did buy a universal pod to install an oil pressure gauge in my 06. It wasn't universal enough and would have taken more work then I was wiling to do. So I bought a dual pod on amazon that said it wouldn't fit my 06 but would fit my 94. So I went and looked at both and the profile of the a-pillar trim was nearly identical. So I got it. I had to lose the grab handle on the 06 but it matched perfectly.

I still have the universal single pod... I never sent it back. If someone wants to try it... It's free for the taking. Come pick it up.
