Hey guys, Ive decide to stop lurking, and join in. I have an 87 Eddie Baur BII, all stock and in nice shape. 2.9L, A4LD, BW1350 electric. I also have a 85 BII, 2.8L, Fm145, BW1350 manual. AND a 92 explorer 2door, 4.0,M5OD,1354 electric. SOOOO.... The 87 Eddie Baur is my daily driver and the other two make my house look like somebody's home. I want to put the 92 Exp M5OD in the 87 Eddie Baur (replace the A4ld) and the 85 BII 1350 Manual behind it. I haven't found a write up on replacing a BII (2.9L) A4LD with a Explorer (4.0) M5OD. I wonder if someone could be helpful here. Why am i doing this? I originally wanted to keep the 87 Eddie Baur all nice and stock, and original, but the A4LD had the screwy overdrive issue. I'm ashamed to say I took it to a local mechanic who promised to fix it, and $2800 (and all summer) later I have an all new inside A4LD with the issue still the same. ...a single tear rolls down....
