looking for a decent sounding system for cheap

I a tired of listening to the shit speakers my girlfriend blew out before i bought the truck from her dad and am interested in something basic but sounds good. dont need it loud just tired out crap speakers and no sub. I do have a pioneer head unit. what would you recomend me looking at and what do i need to put together something that will sound nice?

do u want a sub if so u can go get a pioneer gm-5400t it is a two channel amp then get a nice 10 inch rockford for pretty cheap and then for door speakers i would recommend fusion 6x9s they are pretty good for ur money they are cheap u can get them on amazon for 49.95 now if u want just door speakers i would get a amp to go with it so they are crystal clear at higher volumes

If you want to include a sub you might look at Car Toys. I bought a Pioneer 10" on clearance for $35. I have had good experience with Pioneer in the past. My last one was powered by a cheap $60 Jensen amp and it worked good. They often have speakers on clearance that are just "last years model". If you aren't gonna do a sub right now I would get the largest speakers I could fit (ie 6x9). They will reproduce bass better than smaller speakers.

i was thinking along the lines of a basic sub, amp, and speakers
