99 Ranger 4.0L. Running until I took it down to fuel rail to install new injectors. Now it cranks, but no start.

Thinking I might have tried cranking before system got primed, and now battery is drained. Will try priming again once charged.

Any suggestions on what else to try or check. Anything you can think of that I may have missed?

I'm hoping that its just slow to prime. Looking for other ideas in case that isn't the problem.

If it wasn't primed it should have started before the battery died, unless the battery was weak.

I have run across an occasion or two where a 4.0 fuel system got air bound, and I had to hold the pressure test valve open while priming the system before I could get it to start again.

The only other thing I can think of is that you left something important unplugged.

I think it was a combo of low battery and air in the system. After charging the battery I switched the key to on and off about 25 times. Spun over a couple times and it started firing and ran rough. Drive down the road and it cleared up and running fine. Drove it to work this morning.
